Daily Read - 2 Samuel 20:14-21:22; Acts 1:1-26; Psalm 121: 1-8; Proverbs 16:18
 
I abhor pride in My people because it keeps them from fully understanding who I Am in their lives. There is room for only one King to rule and reign in the hearts of My people and self remains on the throne, I cannot be Lord of all.
 
Pride opens the door to the enemy to ferociously attack and enslave believers. It exalts and lifts self as a god challenging My Word that says - you will have no other gods before Me! The enemy loves nothing better than to lure My precious ones into the trap of self-righteous exaltation. He knows full well what happens when pride captures the heart. After all, pride is what deceived him into believing he could elevate himself above My omnipotence. As a result, pride landed him into eternal destruction and he fell to earth like lightning from his heavenly ranking as archangel.
 
Pride and arrogance brings demotion in My Kingdom. Nothing stops the flow of My Spirit faster than pride and self-righteousness. It stands in the way of My blessing and favor because it attributes people's success to their own works leaving Me out of the equation. 
 
A humble and contrite heart I do not despise and these bring promotion in My Kingdom. I lift those who humble themselves in My presence. I trust the humble with the revelations of My heart because I know they will always give Me the glory for everything I reveal to them. You daily cry out for My glory to pour over your life, but you must first make room for Me to come. There are places in your heart where pride still reigns and I cannot inhabit those areas.
 
Did you realize fear is a fruit of pride? In fact, everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of My Word comes from pride. It tries interjecting itself into a place of preeminence over who I Am. The enemy never changes and his tactics remain the same. He emanates pride because that is his nature.
 
Ask Holy Spirit to reveal those areas where pride, arrogance, self-reliance, self-exaltation, and self-righteousness reside. Repent and take your authority over these spirits of darkness commanding them to leave in My name that is above every name.
 
Humble yourself before My throne of grace and I will lift you up. Favor and blessing will flow freely to and through you for My glory. Doors of opportunity and promotion will suddenly open because pride no longer holds legal ground within your heart stopping My blessings in your life.
   
Precious Holy Spirit, search me and go to the deepest places of my heart. I command all things hidden to come up into Your glorious light of truth. I want all things revealed and exposed to Your truth. I repent for making agreements and alliances with anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of Your Word. I pull down and take authority over every thought that tries taking preeminence over Your truth. I bow my heart before Your almightiness and declare You as Lord over every area in my heart and life. I refuse to live from a place of pride and haughtiness because I recognize who You are in my life. As an act of my will, I surrender all places of pride and self-reliance to You. I want You to be the only Lord in those areas. You are Lord and I am not. I humble myself in Your holy, awesome presence and declare You as Lord over all!  Amen!
