The closer we get to the end of the age when Jesus will return, there is an urgency to get outside ourselves and serve others. There is a population approximately the size of the United States that has never heard the gospel. This would be 219 people groups as of this date according to Wycliff records. Many of these secluded populations only have verbal communication with no written language. Therefore, GOMZ feels an urgent call to go and send. Our desire is to see GOMZ on the forefront of pioneering this great commissioning by equipping and sending our church body to the nations.
Gateway on Mt. Zion is a church that passionately embraces the Great Commission that Jesus Christ delivered to all believers. So much so, that in its few short years as a church, people from GOMZ have either gone to, been sent to, or are supported in some way in over 25 nations of the world"¦.all bringing the saving grace and love of Christ. This is in addition to the countless community and domestic outreaches GOMZ supports.
Our heart beats with an overwhelming desire to reach this hurting and dying world with the life-changing message that only Jesus can bring. There is an anointing on Gateway to activate people to leave the comfort of the pew and go into the utter most parts of the world, whether that means to the streets of downtown Golden and Denver or across the seas.
The world is crying out for someone to come and rescue them from the darkness of pain, poverty, and despair. Those attending GOMZ have heard those silent cries and have chosen to lay down their own lives on a continual basis to reach these precious people"¦ many times using their own money and vacation time to go and minister.
GOMZ holds its ordination with Joshua Nations International. This is an apostolic ministry that trains and raises up leaders and plants thousands of Bible schools throughout the world.
