Gateway on Mt. Zion Community Outreaches

Water and Snacks for Bicyclists

Every Sunday morning in the summer from 9:00-10:30 AM, teams are stationed at the bottom of Lookout Mt. Rd. & Hwy. 40 at the Buffalo building distributing free cold water and snacks to the bicyclists and joggers. This is our way of showing kindness and sharing His love with His precious people.

Adopt A Highway

In partnership with Jefferson County, Gateway has adopted the first two miles of Lookout Mountain Road from Hwy. 40. Teams from the church hit the streets to clean up litter in that area and to pray God"s blessings.

Emergency Preparedness

In partnership with the Jeffco Sheriff"s Department, GOMZ hosts an annual Emergency Preparedness meeting. This is open to the Lookout Mountain and surrounding communities. Topics include: local crime, self-protection, how to put together emergency kits that are applicable for both in-home and evacuation purposes. Basic CPR and first aid are also taught and demonstrated.

Church Property and Facility Availability

Gateway opens their doors to a variety of community functions such as polling and organization meetings such as the Sportsman Club. It"s parking lot has been used to park cars for neighborhood weddings, parties, reunions, and holiday events.
