John 4:10
Jesus answered and said to her,
"If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,
'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him,
and He would have given you living water."
Many times, I go unnoticed in your midst. You do not even recognize My presence when I sit down beside you. If you knew how many times you have unknowingly walked past Me, it would shock you.
As with the Samaritan woman, she had no idea of the gift that sat before her. She was blinded by the anxieties of life and by the sin she tried so desperately to conceal. Shame and condemnation tormented her to the point she could see nothing else. I loved this woman and saw greatness inside of her. I purposefully positioned Myself in her path, where she had no choice but to notice. I go to great lengths and will stop at nothing to catch your glance. I love you that much!
I reached into the depths of her pain and loved her in the midst of it. I did not condemn her, but extended mercy and redemption. She drank of the living water I offered and her life miraculously changed. As a result, multitudes believed I was the promised Messiah because of her testimony.
Regardless of what you have or have not done, I love you. In this very moment, I have positioned Myself in such a way that you cannot help but notice Me. I am speaking to you right now through these words. Not only am I with you right now, but I am omnipresent, I am with you at all times wherever you go.
Do you fully understand and appreciate the gift of God who is in your midst. I Am Savior, Lord, Healer, Deliverer, Advocate, Defender, Protector, Provider, and Lover of your soul, what else or who else could you ever possibly need? Come away from the anxieties of the day, throw off the shame and condemnation from Satan, and still yourself before Me. Recognize who I Am.
Ask Me for a drink of water...
I will give you a fountain of life!
Lord Jesus, I confess there are days when I do not fully understand the gift You have given me. Forgive me for not recognizing Your continual presence with me. I never want to take what we have for granted. I know there is so much more You want to give me, but I forget to ask. Lord, I ask for another drink of Your life-giving waters. I want to be continually filled so I can outpour onto those You bring to me today. Thank You for loving me and everyone else with agape, unconditional love. Thank You for looking past my present condition into the depths of my heart and seeing who I really am in my future. I love you! Amen.
