Daily Devotional - April 19th

Daily Read - Joshua 19:1-20:9; Luke 19:28-48; Psalm.88:1-18; Proverbs 13:12-14
From the moment of your conception, the enemy plots and strategizes how to dash your hopes to smithereens. He knows hope is the spark that causes faith to catch on fire and he works overtime to sabotage even a glimmer of hope in your life.
Do not be ignorant of the enemy's schemes. Ignorance is not bliss, it is deadly, and Satan takes full advantage of it. Ask Me for wisdom and I will give it to you freely and liberally that you may discern the covert tactics of the adversary.
Realize that your faith, hope, and trust have great big bull's-eyes on them and Satan continually shoots arrows of discouragement and disappointment trying to target the inner most part of your heart. His goal is to drag you into deep places of despair so you will abandon your trust in Me. He fully understands the power of faith and stops at nothing to destroy it in My people.
My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge and without a vision they perish. Hope is the womb where vision is conceived and grown; it is the birthplace of faith. Be aware; the enemy prowls around like a lion looking for places where he can slip in causing you to abort your faith before you give birth to the vision.
Discouragement eventually makes the heart sick. It opens the door to a spirit of grief that locks down your mind, will, and emotions to such an extent, it causes your body to fall into places of sickness and disease. Can you now understand why the forces of darkness desire to kill your hope?
Relinquish all your hopes and aspirations to Me. Allow Me to nurture them in My sovereignty. Delight yourself in who I am and I will give you the desires of your heart. Commit all of your hopes, dreams, and ways to Me trusting I have your best interests deep within My heart chambers and I will bring them to pass in your life.
Lord Jesus, I give You my hope and I ask You to protect it from the arrows of the enemy. I surrender my dreams and aspirations into Your sovereign hands and I trust You will bring them to pass in Your Kairos timing. I relinquish ownership of all of them to You knowing You have My future already planned. I ask for eyes to recognize the strategies of Satan even before they leave the war room of hell. I command each one diverted from hitting their mark on my heart. I take up the shield of faith to quench every fiery dart from the enemy. As King David did in Psalms, I speak to my soul and command it to hope in God! I will not abandon my faith in You Lord Jesus. I press on to the mark of my high calling in Christ! Amen.
