Daily Devotional - January 9th

Daily Read “ Genesis 20:1-22:24; Matthew 7:15-29; Psalm 9:1-12; Proverbs 2:16-22
There are floods coming to the earth. One flood comes from the bowels of hell and the other from the Throne of Almighty God. With either flood, it is vitally important for My people to delve into the depths of My Word and anchor themselves in the truth.
Clouds have gathered in the heavens. Evil is planning a display of destructiveness aimed at paralyzing and crippling My people and their Kingdom destiny. He knows the power of My Word and knows believers are weak and powerless without it, so he strategizes ways in which to keep them from it. Don't be ignorant of the enemy's devices for he is cunning and crafty in all his ways. Learn to recognize how he systematically entices you away from the food necessary to sustain you through the flood.
Without the Word as your foundation, your entire walk is vulnerable to collapse. The enemy's flood flows with deception manifesting through lying signs and wonders carried on the doctrines of demons. Only those established and centered on My Word will rightly discern testing all things and holding fast to the truth. My truth is the anchor that keeps you safe from the flood of error.
There is another flood coming your way...prepare ye the way of the Lord. My rain is already falling and beginning to gather in streams and rivers around the world. Soon these rivers will overflow their banks flooding and flowing through every facet of society bringing worldwide revival and awakening.
Those who hear My words and refuse to live by them have a form of godliness, but deny the power. They are the foolish who build their foundation on religiosity which cannot hold the weight of My glory. Religious foundations will collapse in this new season. The old wineskins cannot hold the new wine I am releasing.
However, those who hear My Words and apply them are wise in My Kingdom. The winds blow, the rain falls, and the floods come, but this house stands immoveable and unshakeable on the firm foundation of Christ.
My Word readies and equips My bride for both floods.
Lord Jesus, I know rain is coming, I can feel the moisture in the atmosphere of the Spirit. There is much activity in the heavenly realms as good and evil prepare for the releasing floods. I want to be one who is wisely preparing. Precious Holy Spirit, help me to remain steadfast in the Word of God to insure that my foundation is rock solid. The winds are already blowing across the land and I want to be one who stands no matter what comes. I give You permission to dig out all remaining roots of religiosity and anything else that keeps me from believing and fully implementing Your Word in My life. I desire to walk wholly and completely after You. You are my rock and my fortress. Amen!
Matthew 7:24-27
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine,
and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house;
and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
"But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them,
will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house;
and it fell. And great was its fall."
