Revelation 12:10-12
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now salvation, and strength,
and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come,
for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives to the death.
Death has been swallowed up in Christ's victory because He holds the keys to death, hell, and the grave. Death conquered forever!
God's kingdom and the power of His Christ have come... His kingdom come; His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The blood of God's precious lamb stripped the enemy of all authority. The accuser of our soul cast down, humiliated before all of creation, and powerless to rule. He is reduced to a deceiver propagating lies waiting to see who will fall for and believe them.
The blood of Christ is our most treasured possession. We overcome the enemy and all wickedness through its mighty life giving flow and nothing will ever diminish its life transforming power. It flows through eternity and nothing stops.
Because of the blood, we have a glorious story, a testimony of the love of Christ pulling us from darkness into His marvelous light. This is a life-transforming event that eternally changed our lives.
Satan hates our story because it is a weapon of great destruction within his domain. The blood, and our testimony birthed from it are two of the most explosive and powerful weapons in the Kingdom of God. They defeat every level of evil, strategic warfare aimed at us. Nothing is more effective and powerful than the blood of Jesus Christ!
Another weapon of tremendous power is death! Death, how can that be? Jesus conquered death. Before experiencing the resurrection power of Jesus, we must first die in one specific area, we must die to our flesh. According to the Word of God in 1 Cor. 15:31,
I must die daily.
I never fully grasped the meaning of Psalms 116:15 -
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Of course, we know that as believers, to be absent from our bodies is to be present with our Lord and our Father is blessed with us for eternity. However, I believe the Lord showed me another meaning in this scripture.
When we die to the flesh and to everything that takes us from our relationship with the Lord, it is a holy sacrifice to the Father and precious in His sight. As we willingly lay on the alter presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice, a fragrant aroma is released reaching the heart of God.
Dying to the flesh dismantles and dethrones the enemy of our soul. The enemy can no longer use our flesh as a weapon against us because we are dead to ourselves. We do not love ourselves even unto death! We do not own ourselves; the devil does not own us; but Christ owns us. Our entire triune being spirit, soul, and body belong to Him!
We are born overcomers. He has given us everything to live and walk victoriously in this life.
The blood of the lamb and our testimony
What a winning combination!
