Daily Read “ Jeremiah 30:1-31:26; 1 Timothy 2:1-15; Psalm 87:1-7; Proverbs 25:18-19

1 Timothy 2:1-7
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions,
and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority,
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men,
the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

This portion of scripture is a mandate from our Father God. We are to lift all people before His Throne in prayer. This includes those we love and those we consider our enemy. This includes those who stand in authority over us regardless of their political, religious, or ideological stance. We are to pray and thank God for every person because each one is created in His image after His likeness.

As believers, it is of utmost importance that we maintain a high level of fruit bearing during this upcoming election season. The enemy would love nothing better than to pull each us into a place of animosity, distain, and even hatred toward those in authority. We have a responsibility before our God to guard our hearts and minds from soulish praying. Prayers that originate from the soul (mind, will, and emotions) avail absolutely nothing. The prayer of the righteous avails much because it flows from the spirit of a man.

In Ephesians 4:26-28 - the Word of God says, "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. There is a time for the people of God to rise up with a righteous indignation against unrighteous injustices; however, there is a fine line where anger turns into sin, giving open door access to the enemy. There are times when believers use this passage of scripture to camouflage deep seeded anger that is not righteous, but sinful.

The strategy of the enemy is to paralyze the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous by encasing each in a thick layer of sin. Remember, we are in this world, but we are not of it. Be watchful and pray lest you fall into the entanglement of the world system.

Father's heart is for all to come to the saving knowledge of His Son. He desires that every person be rescued from an eternity void of His love. Daily He weeps as He watches people choose darkness over light. This is the due season for believers to deliver the good news of Jesus Christ. It is the testimony of who He is in our lives. People of God, make supplications, intercessions, prayers, and give thanks for all to come into a saving knowledge of Christ. Declare His Kingdom come!

Father, I commit to pray for all men; including kings, presidents, senators, congressmen, judges, and those in authority. You left no one out of this mandate. All means all!  Forgive me for allowing my soul to rule as I pray. I desire that all my prayers be effectual and fervent accomplishing Kingdom purposes. I choose to pray from my position seated in heavenly places and not from the natural, soul realm. I will be a powerful voice during this season demonstrating Your righteous love. I pray for all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Amen!
