Daily Devotional - July 3rd

Daily Read - 2 Kings 22:3-23:30; Acts 21:37-22:16; Psalm 1:1-6; Proverbs 18:11-12
With current economic indicators so volatile, even the most brilliant economist stands baffled and left searching for answers. Globally, the world money system appears to be in melt down with no clear solutions on the horizon. With the best computer technology along with the best economic forecasters in the world analyzing the situation, one would think things would quickly change course and take an upswing. However, there is one major factor missing in this whole equation....where is God?
Without the Master sitting at the helm steering the ship, a major shipwreck is a guarantee. As believers, we can either stay on this doomed voyage or choose to follow our Captain Jesus on a charted path which leads to blessing and provision.
Psalm 1 is actually a treasure map leading us to untold wealth. The Lord gives the reader specific instructions guiding him/her to abundant blessing. As you read and mediate upon this treasure chest of truth, ask Holy Spirit to reveal where your treasure is located, then follow your map to find it! Once found, invest it in His kingdom and watch as it continues to multiply. The more you give, the more it gives!

1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
