Daily Devotional - June 28th

Jun 28, 2025 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Daily Read - 2 Kings 13:1-14:29; Acts 18:23-19:12; Psalm 146:1-10; Proverbs 18:2-3

This psalm is a wonderful exhortation to praise the Lord. It reminds us where we should place our trust and why. Our God takes care of His children even in the midst of worldwide chaos, He faithfully watches over us.

There are those the Lord will send your way today who desperately need Father's touch in their life. Worries of a world spinning out of control lead them into places of hopelessness and fear. Bad news daily inundates their minds offering nothing, but a dim and grim picture of the future.

God wants to use you to bring His light into their night of despair. He handpicked you to paint a new picture for them to look at, one that highlights the truth of Psalm 146 and instills a correct image of God. He is awesome and powerful; faithful and true; and above all else an amazingly loving Father who has the whole world in His hands.

Ask Holy Spirit to reveal who it is you are to share this good news with today.

Keep a watchful eye,
A divine appointment is heading your way!

Psalm 146
1 Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
2 While I live I will praise the Lord;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
3 Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
In that very day his plans perish.
5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that is in them;
Who keeps truth forever,
7 Who executes justice for the oppressed,
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.
8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
10 The Lord shall reign forever -
Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
Praise the Lord !
