Proverbs 18:1
He who separates himself indulges his desires
and shows contempt for sound advice of any kind.
Complete Jewish Bible
There are those in the body of Christ who travel from flower to flower never landing long enough to extract the nutritious nectar. These precious ones become weak for lack of strength because they alienate themselves filling their lives with those things that actually sap their strength rather than infusing them with spiritual sustenance.
Wolves disguising themselves in sheep's clothing wait to lure these weakened ones away from the sheepfold into dangerous places of isolation. It is in these places where the enemy maneuvers the most effectively because he succeeds in removing these sheep away from Godly counsel and accountability. Now his deceptions have a better chance of lodging deep within the soul.
He uses numerous tactics to attract Christians into his web of alienation such as sickness, exhaustion, offence, self-absorption, unforgiveness, busyness, entertainment, recreation, and even religious thinking. This is not the season to be wandering aimlessly through life outside the protection and fellowship of other believers. Too many Christians wait until there is crisis in their lives to pull back into relationship only to find out pain and heartache could have been avoided had they just stayed connected with fellow believers.
It's time to come out from hiding and join your hands with other brothers and sisters again. There is tremendous strength in numbers, where one chases a thousand, two chases ten thousand. Darkness works night and day devising new strategies to separate and divide the body of Christ. Satan is aware of the power he faces when the church comes together as a united force. It is time for believers to thwart these strategies, press in past our comfort levels, and join the ranks in the army of God.
Throughout the Word, God makes it very clear how much believers need one another. We are not created to be islands unto ourselves, but for companionship with the Lord and each other. Put away foolish thinking and stop buzzing around. Come in for a landing and plant your roots deep in the soil of a corporate gathering of believers.
There is a beautiful bouquet of believers just waiting to nurture you!
