Luke 12:35-37
"Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning;
and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master,
when he will return from the wedding,
that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.
Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.

So many in the body of Christ have lost sight of the greatest and most glorious event in all recorded history, the return of Yeshua, Jesus Christ! The Lord tells us in His Word, there are blessings for those who are looking and watching for Him, but it seems the body is too busy with life to pay much attention to the eminent return of their Beloved.

As believers, the issue should never become when will He come because the Word is very specific on that point; no one, but the Father God knows, but the fact that Christ is returning should be the focal point that excites every Christian.

If we spend our time wondering and debating whether He returns pre, mid, or post tribulation, we miss the entire point of the Lord's exhortation to watch. Our Lord is coming for us, even if that means when we pass from death into His arms of life, He is coming for His Bride.

Throughout church history, every generation believed they were the ones to see the return of Christ. The early church experienced horrific persecution with many believing Nero, among others, was the Anti-Christ. Of course, time proved out something different. The scripture is full of "sign posts" pointing to the return of Christ. Many prophecies in the Bible are already fulfilled, but recently, there have been even more dramatic fulfillments taking place right before our eyes. Theologians and Eschatologists from many streams with differing views present convincing arguments for each of their theories, but the fact remains, no one knows but God.

With the earth shaking geographically, economically, politically, and culturally, one doesn't need to be a Christian to know that something of significance is ready to happen on planet earth. The world is experiencing the birth pangs that Christ prophesied over 2,000 years ago. However, He exhorts us to watch, expect, pray, and look up. Is the lamp of your heart burning to see Him? Are you watching and expecting Him to come as a bride watches for her groom? What a glorious day when the Lord and King comes to sweep us up in His arms and into eternity.

In the meantime, we have work to do for the Kingdom.  Jesus exhorts us to watch for His return, but at the same time, He instructs us to keep our hand on the plow and occupy until He comes.  The hour is late and the harvest is ripening in the fields. There is a lot of work to be done and there are only few laborers. The greatest harvest the world has ever known is coming and the soon and eminent return of Christ quickly follows.

Luke 21:28-29
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads,
because your redemption draws near."

Now, this is something to get excited about!
