 Luke 9:62
But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow,
and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

Proverbs 12:11
He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread,
But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.

So often in the daily reading, Holy Spirit blends verses from the different books of the Bible creating a marvelous tapestry of truth that leads and establishes our day. When we place the Word of God first and foremost in our lives, it's amazing how our days come into divine order. Invite Holy Spirit to bring revelation while reading His Word, then open your mouth and drink in the revelatory downpour of His rain.

As you read the assigned verses from Luke and Proverbs, you discover a common thread tying them together. What is the Lord saying to you personally in these verses? Let's go treasure hunting together and discover the nuggets of revelation He has waiting for us today.

Read Luke 9:62 and ask the Lord to show you what He means when He says, "No man having put his hand to the plow, and looking back is fit for the Kingdom." How does this apply in your life today? What does He want you to understand from these words and how does it compare with Proverbs 12:11? Write down what you believe the Lord is revealing. Remember, the Word is alive and in this very moment, God is using it to speak something very powerful to your spirit man.

As believers, we can't hold duel citizenships; one with the world and the other with the Kingdom of God; one must go. It's frivolous and non-productive to look back to our previous life before Christ. We must press on past yesterday and faithfully plow and do what is at hand to do in our present, while always keeping our eye on the prize in our future.

Today, you plow and plant your field; tomorrow, you reap a bountiful harvest in your life. What field are you plowing today? Is it your family, your job, school, service in ministry, or are you plowing in all of them? What does harvest look like for each? You want to recognize it when it comes.

Write down everything you receive from the Lord. These are precious treasures He deposits deep inside your heart. The enemy can never take them away because they belong to you to give away as Holy Spirit leads.

Value and cherish your daily reading. It's God's Word delivered directly into your life to specifically equip and empower you for the days ahead. Take time to feast upon it every day, it is just what the doctor ordered.
