Deuteronomy 8:18-19
"And you shall remember the Lord your God,
for it is He who gives you power to get wealth,
that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
The word wealth in this verse is quite interesting and the Hebrew definition brings tremendous light to its original meaning. It comes from the Hebrew word
chayil and means a force, whether of men, means, or other resources; an army, riches, virtue, valor, strength, ability, and efficiency.
It's clear, when the Lord talks about wealth in this context, He refers to much more than riches and finances, though these are definitely included. He always exceeds our imaginations and expectations for He is limitless. There is no word in the English language big enough to define or contain God!
This verse promises believers an active role in the establishment of God's covenant on earth. He equips and empowers each with everything needed to get wealth; thereby, taking the Kingdom by force. The Lord strategically positions believers in places of influence, and spares nothing in any area to ensure the Kingdom comes and is recognized and felt by those in this world.
He provides everything needed to accomplish His plans and purposes in and through us in our daily lives. If a situation calls for an army of angels, it only takes one nod from the Almighty, and the hosts are dispatched onto the scene. We can fully expect God's supernatural ability and wisdom to empower us when performing our jobs. When facing dire circumstances, we can count on His strength and valor to infuse us igniting our faith.
We must fully recognize and embrace that Jesus has empowered and equipped us to establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
At work....His Kingdom come!
At play....His Kingdom come!
At church...His Kingdom come!
At the store....His Kingdom come!
Wherever we go....His Kingdom come!
