Daily Devotional - March 23rd

Daily Read “ Numbers 36-Deuteronomy 1; Luke 5:29-6:11; Psalm 66:1-20; Proverbs 11:24-26
Things are shifting and transitioning around the world making way for the new season that is ready to burst on the scene. The old won't work in the new. I am moving at accelerated speed in the heavenly and natural realms preparing the way for My glory.
My people must remove and step away from the old, but many remain complacent and comfortable with the familiar refusing to launch forward into the new realms of My Spirit. This refusal will be critically detrimental in the approaching days. Old is not better; in fact, it causes a paralyzing and crippling effect on My body. The unredeemed nature of man resists change. Flesh always desires comfort and familiarity and stops at nothing to minimize life's surprises. This does not fly in My realm for I'm the God of the suddenly!
Having an unteachable spirit towards the new guarantees a Christian walk of mediocrity. This powerless existence leads to jealousy and anger towards those who do choose to walk into the new. My Son's very existence enraged religious demons to such a degree the Pharisees and Sadducees sought His death. The religious were so threatened and hard hearted, they were blinded to the miracles in their midst. They only saw through the confines of their religion and chose to remain in the old, even if it meant missing a miracle. One drop of My glory on their old way of thinking exploded their wineskin bringing ruin and destruction to their lives and to those they influenced.
The old way, the old man, the old system, the old, old, old is incapable of holding the new. One drop of My glory on anything of the old will bring massive devastation. My glory is holy and incorruptible it is alive and powerful. The old wineskins cannot contain My coming glory.
Lord Jesus, I want no part of the old clinging to me. It carries a stench that covers Your beautiful fragrance of life. I repent for holding on to any tradition of man that contradicts the freedom of Your Spirit. I repent for holding on to the comfort of familiarity when it keeps me from stepping into the unknown realms of faith. I repent for allowing man to dictate who I am rather than living out who I am in You and who You are in me. I repent for resisting the new out of fear for what it holds. I put my trust in You and surrender to all the new You are bringing my way. Amen!

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins;
or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.
But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.'"

And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand."
And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
