Mark 11:25-26
"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him,
that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

One of the most powerful weapons in the arsenal of spiritual weaponry is forgiveness. In the hands of believers, this mighty sword deals deadly blows to the network of darkness.

Forgiveness does not originate from the unsanctified soul, but from the spirit. In fact, the unsubmitted soul fiercely fights against forgiveness. The mind continually replays unfortunate events and then strokes the emotions with self-pity empowering a victim mind-set.  All the while, a spirit of justification causes unforgiveness to lock down and encage the will to an existence of anger, bitterness, offense and revenge.

Praise God for the good news! Precious Jesus gave us the keys to unlock these prison doors and set the captives free. When we choose to forgive, demons flee, strongholds release their hold, and heaven pours out blessings. Those things that kept us in bondage lose their grip on our lives and melt like wax in His presence.

Forgiveness is a choice and is not based on feelings.  More times than not, feelings and emotions try strong-arming our wills to remain locked up in the cage. The redeemed spirit of man has the ability to rise to the occasion and override the unsubmitted soul. Which will you allow to win...your soul or spirit?

The Word of God exhorts believers to forgive which allows forgiveness to flow from Father to us. This is not a small issue in the eyes of Almighty God; He takes forgiveness very seriously because He knows how it affects the lives of His children.

Go before the Lord asking Him to reveal those you have yet to forgive. There is no time like the present to get things in right order.

Pray this simple prayer: Father, I come in the name of Jesus asking You to show me anyone in my life I have yet to forgive. I give You permission to turn over every stone in my life and show me if there is hidden unforgiveness that I don't see. I want it removed and washed in the Name of Jesus. I want nothing to hinder our relationship. I repent for harboring bitterness of any kind against anyone. As You continue to reveal, I will continue to forgive. I choose to bless all you show me and pray for their lives to be touched by Your life-changing love!
