Psalm 36:7-9
How precious is Your loving kindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.
Oh My Awesome God! The simplicity of throwing my arms in the air totally surrendered and abandoned to You. The freedom to run as a child into the safety of Your wings. Living from a place of unwavering trust in a Father who is the kindest person ever known. Whose loving kindness reaches beyond my ability to define because words are unable to capture the eternal and infinite treasure of who You are in my life.
There are places in my heart longing to play, yearning to see my innocence reborn. Is it possible for these lonely broken pieces of my heart to see Your light; truly experience the abundance of Your presence; and drink from the rivers of Your pleasures?
I hear Your voice singing over my thirsty soul, "Yes, come to My great, big house filled with joy and drink in My loving kindness. There is light for your weary soul; healing for the fractures in your heart; and rivers of life to quench your thirst."
Lord, I've discovered through times of trial, a remarkable metamorphosis. Those places of weakness begin to transform into places of strength and faith.
As I trust You in those dark, difficult places, I begin to see Your light. Trusting You brings light into every difficult situation. Your light exposes the lies of the enemy and brings all things into truth. In Your light, I see light in all my circumstances because Your truth lights up my world!
Children have the innate ability to believe You can do anything. They know they are safe and protected no matter what happens. Lord, I ask for childlike faith. I come boldly into Your house filled with overwhelming treasure. I receive the abundance of joy found in Your presence. I throw my head back and laugh knowing I am safe under the shelter of your Almightiness! You are my good, good Father forevermore!
