Daily Devotional - January 12th

Daily Read “ Genesis 26:17-27:46; Matthew 9:1-17; Psalm 10:16-18; Proverbs 3:9-10
I left heaven and came to earth for one purpose, to redeem everyone reconciling them to the Father. I don't look at the outward condition of people, but I look deep within their heart.
2 Cor 5:18-19 - Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
I am the light of the world and I came to bring light into the dark places. Because I live in you, My light shines and radiates from you as it does from Me. You are a city set on a hill that all may see, so let your light shine in the darkness! Don't allow embarrassment or intimidation to hold you back, but instead come out of hiding and illuminate your sphere of influence with Me!
Are you ready to receive the harvest that is coming? Will you recognize it when it comes? It comes in many shapes and sizes from diversified backgrounds.
...The harvest wears a 3-piece suit having everything in meticulous order...and it pushes a shopping cart to its home on the streets.
...The harvest struts down inner city streets waiting for its next trick ...and it cries in loneliness within million dollar mansions.
...The harvest parades its right to live alternative lifestyles ...and it sits in the pews of religiosity.
...The harvest staggers from bars and saloons ...and it sips herbal teas at new age cuisines.
The harvest is everywhere begging for the true and genuine light of Christ to shine into their world. They are not interested in dead religious acts of sacrifice, but desperately cry out for My mercy and compassion to embrace them. You are My hug to this world.
I want to entrust you with the hearts of the lost, but I won't give them to you if you scorn and judge them. Show them love and mercy for this is what brings them to redemption reconciling them to the Father. A religious mindset gets in the way of harvest hindering My will from having its way on earth. Criticism and accusation stop the flow of My love and causes further damage to an already damaged person.
Your hearts must get ready to receive the harvest no matter what it looks like, smells like, acts like, or sounds like.
Lord Jesus, make me an instrument of Your love. Thank You for saving me from the depths of darkness and sin. Thank You for the multitudes who obeyed Your voice and extended Your grace and mercy to me. Where would I be today if Your people had not reached out? If there is any judgment inside hidden places of my heart, I repent Lord Jesus. Forgive me if that has ever caused someone from making a decision for You. God forbid! I choose to see people as You see people, through the eyes of mercy and grace! Amen!

Matthew 9:10-13
Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house,
that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples,
"Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors
and sinners?" When Jesus heard that, He said to them,
"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.'
For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
