Daily Read “ Zechariah 12:1-13:9; Revelation 19:1-21; Psalm 147:1-20; Proverbs 31:1-7

Revelation 19:6-8
And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude,
as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia!
For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright,
for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

The Bride of Christ
By Janet Youngberg
Dedicated to the men and women who have set their hearts to know God.

Look! I am doing a new thing! I am birthing a new woman! Woman! Let the cry for righteousness go forth. Cry, "Repent, the King is coming!"
Prepare a highway of holiness for him! The judgment of our God is near!

The Lord has birthed this woman. The Lord has called this woman. The Lord has chosen this woman. The Lord has anointed this woman. She is awesome in power. She is glorious in truth. She is marked by compassion. Look on her face! Take notice of her hands! Her feet are beautiful!

The woman knows the secret place. She enters through the gate of mercy. Grace is her covering.  The shadow of the Almighty One is her refuge. Her silent trust in Him will stun the nations!

Her parents will stand in awe of her and say, "She is not like her sisters, she is not like her brothers. Who has conceived her? She is not like us."

The Lord has said, "I have. She has been conceived in repentance, in humility, in brokenness and tears. I have purified her mouth. She is my creation. She has received my heart for the peoples.  She is my joy and my delight. How I love her! She will be my pure and faithful bride."

God himself marvels over his creation. Joy bursts in his heart over her. Even in her infancy he marvels.  He says, "Look at her tender heart. Look at her curiosity and delight. Look at her joyful spirit." He speaks, "This child is alert to my voice. Her obedience is perfected. She walks in truth. She knows me well! She is God-confident. She dwells in my rest. My peace is her habitation."

Look! The child-woman is a warrior! She is dressed for battle and given the reins of worship. "Ride, Woman, Ride!  Subdue the enemies of your Lord! Cry out the Victory cry! 'Just do it!'"

The woman's voices speak of holy terror and compassion, of suffering and patience, of justice and reward. She speaks life into the dead!  Salvation's call is in her mouth! She commands passionate righteousness to come forth in the people of God. She calls forth a consuming holiness in the servants of God. She prays for truth and wisdom and revelation. Kindness is the hallmark of her tongue. Her mouth is anointed with grace. Her words and her silence are unlike anything heard since Jesus. Fear and anxiety flee in her presence.  The enemies of her God tremble. She warns them of their doom.

Who is this sanctified one! It is she who has washed her robes in the blood of the Lamb! With the sword of the Lord in her mouth, she rebuilds the walls of integrity. She holds close the Word of God, while lifting high His covenant-making torch of pure light. Her hands gather the children and bring healing to the nations. She lives at the tree of life and drinks from its rivers. The Lord has planted in her the roots of revival. The blossoms and fruit of her tree draw the forsaken and feed the hungry. She gathers flowers and makes perfumed ointment to delight the One she loves. She dances before him in worship abandon. Her night song stills his grieving heart. God's glory manifests in the holy place within her as He tabernacles with her. Oh! The sound of her singing! Her many arms! Hands holding fire!  Her many faces! Her feet dance in the face of suffering! The peoples marvel! They say, "Is this one earth-born, born of men and women?"

The Fathers says, "She is heaven-born, born of the Spirit. She will move across the earth as the wind.  Lightening will announce her coming. The rain will follow her path. She prepares the harvest." Bowing, she offers her life in exchange for nations. She smiles, knowing the Father is pleased.

Look! God's will is done on earth. Heaven thunders, "I have fashioned a bride fit for My Son. She has prepared herself." "MY BELOVED SON, BRING YOUR BRIDE HOME." All of heaven came to attention! And the tears were wiped away from Jesus' eyes. Joy consumed the habitation of heaven!  Jesus brought his bride home. All Glory be to God!
