Daily Devotional - December 10th

Daily Read - Amos 1:1-3:15; Revelation 2:1-17; Psalm 129:1-8; Proverbs 29:19-20
My precious child, you have allowed so many things to come between our relationship, things you would have never tolerated. I was always first place in your life, and nothing interfered with our intimate times together. However, something happened and over time, your fiery passion for Me has been swallowed up by numerous distractions in your life. Other things have replaced Me, capturing your attention.
My heart grieves and aches for you! I watch as the enemy continues to set up circumstances stealing from our time together. He began slowly and covertly knowing you would not tolerate a blatant onslaught --it would have been too obvious. No, he began sending small foxes to steal from the life-giving vine.
You sensed something was wrong and out of sorts, but you still filled your schedule with more things ignoring the sweet conviction of Holy Spirit. Soon, a paralyzing worry and stress entered leaving you feeling hopeless and without strength. Without notice, the enemy systematically sabotaged our relationship leaving you with a life that suddenly became overwhelmingly complicated and out of control.
Holy Spirit once again reaches out to say, "Repent and return to your first love and do what you did at first. Lighten your load discarding those unimportant things that come to kill, steal, and destroy. Run back into the heart chambers of your Beloved. He forgives and restores you because His love never fails."
Precious Heavenly Father, forgive me for allowing anything to come between us. Without realizing it, I allowed life's circumstances to consume all my attention and our relationship suffered as a result. I repent and place You first and foremost in my life. Our relationship is my priority and I ask for divine discernment to know what things in my life need to be crucified and discarded. I refuse to allow the small foxes to steal from the vine of our time together. You are everything to me and I run back into the heart chambers of my Beloved! I receive Your love and forgiveness with open arms! Amen!
