Daily Read “ Ezekiel 35:1-36:38; James 1:1-18; Psalm 116:1-19; Proverbs 27:23-27

 James 1:22-25
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror,
for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work,
this one will be blessed in what he does.

A mirror image can be a deceiving depiction of reality. A two-dimensional reflection that carries with it distortions, especially when imperfections are embedded in the mirror itself. When gazing in a mirror, the image staring back reveals no depth of character, but remains flat and superficial. It projects a form of Godliness, but denies the power.

Multitudes around the world hear My Word. From its first printing until now, the Bible has been a best-seller. However, without doing or applying My Word, it becomes another book gathering dust on a shelf. The power of My Word is released in the reading, the hearing, and then in the daily application of walking it out in life. When you activate My Word in your life, a new image appears in the mirror and 2 Corinthians 3:18 becomes your portion.

A multidimensional Kingdom picture is revealed, one filled with resurrection life, power, and depth. Living by My Word ensures you will never forget it because you become dramatically changed and transformed into My image. Everything begins to blossom into life and everything you put your hands too is blessed. Doors of opportunity begin bursting open before your every step.

The more you engage My Word, the more My image is revealed through you.

The next time you  look in the mirror, expect to see Christ looking back!

Remember, the less of you that is seen the more of Him is revealed.

Lord Jesus, I want Your Word to be fully activated in my life. I do not want to be a religious bystander idly standing by powerless to change my life. I want to be a doer of everything Your Word instructs me to do; thereby, allowing Your character and image to be fully formed in Me. When I look in the mirror, I want to see Your glory shining back. I desire to walk a blessed and fulfilled life with the power of Holy Spirit. Amen and Amen!
