2 Timothy 1:7-8
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear),
but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake,
but [with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching]
of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.
Amplified Version
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I am accessible to My children. I make provision for each one to live in and out of a place of refuge and it's found in My Presence. From within this place, you find not only rest, but power, love, and soundness of mind. The enemy is not permitted in this holy place. In fact, he melts like wax in My holy presence. He absolutely hates this place and tries to implement strategies to keep you from entering. He knows full well when you walk in My Spirit and live your life from the secret place of My presence you are empowered to overcome.
I am not the author of timidity and fear. They originate from satan with the purpose to paralyze and stop you from reaching your destiny. These two co-harts work together to keep my people locked down and intimidated, robbing them of their testimony.
I have given you the power to overcome intimidation. I have given you the power to rise up with a bold witness of who I am in your life. As an act of your will, choose to shake off fear and timidity giving them no place and run into the secret place. As you live from this place of My Spirit, you will discover an ever-increasing courage and boldness to share your testimony regardless of any and all persecutions that may come, including mockery, slander, ridicule or even death.
Father, I shake off everything that keeps me from being a bold witness for You. You have given me everything I need to carry Your message to this world with bold tenacity. I choose to crucify the flesh and take up the cross daily testifying of the cross, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I am not deterred by the suffering of persecutions, but will receive the empowerment that comes from them.
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation!
