Psalm 62:12
 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work

Our awesome God sees everything we do. The big things, the little things, and those things that we deem insignificant, God sees them all. He renders to each one according to his work.

Following is a powerful testimony from Elder Kim Sangho, Dr. Yonggi Cho's Senior Pastor at Prayer Mountain in Seoul, Korea. As you read this, be encouraged by the fact that our God is a merciful and loving heavenly Father.

Elder Kim was pronounced dead from a massive heart attack, but three days later suddenly sat up and asked, "Why are you trying to put me in the casket? I am not dead. I have been seeing a vision of heaven!"

In a personal interview with Mary Relfe, he related one occurrence that he experienced during the three days of his heavenly voyage.

Elder Kim says, You must understand that some years back I lost my 9-year-old son. He had only been saved two weeks. My heart was broken. I wept before the Lord and said, "I'm thankful that one day I will go to him, but he will have no works. There will be no reward for my son, for he was not given time to bear any fruits of righteousness." I cried, "Oh God, why did you move my son so soon from this earth?"

During my heavenly visit, I had met and talked with many of the saints. I asked my angelic guide. "Could I go and see my son?" He replied, "I will take you now."  Passing many colossal dwellings, the angel finally stopped in front of a huge, palatial mansion. Elder Kim asked, "Why did you stop here?" The angel replied, "This is your son's residence." He said, "There is a mistake. My son could not have such an estate. He was only saved two weeks." The angel responded, "Let us enter."

When Elder Kim met his son, he asked, "Son, how did you merit such a place? You had only been saved two weeks. You had no works!"
His son answered, "Father, do you remember when I was in school; the first, second, and third grades? Do you remember that every day I took two lunches to school? Do you know why? Kim replied, "I thought you had a big appetite."

His son explained:  "Father, every day I took that extra lunch for a boy who had no home, and lived on the street. My second lunch was his only meal of the day.  When I was brought to my heavenly home, it was explained to me:  "Whosoever shall give to drink a cup of cold water shall not lose his reward" - Matt.10:42. When I provided food for that orphan boy for three years who had neither mother nor father, my good works earned me this reward."

 1 Corinthians 2:9
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Heavenly Father, Your ways are not our ways! Thank You for loving me with your agape unconditional love. You are keeping track of every act of kindness. Even those things I have forgotten about, You have not. You keep them hidden away in the secret place of Your heart. Holy Spirit, help me demonstrate the love of Christ today through an act of kindness for someone in need. Lord Jesus, I desire to do this, not because I want larger rewards in heaven, but because I desire to love as you love and  see Your healing touch the hurting and hungry who are in my world. Amen!
