Sep 17, 2025 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Daily Read “ Isaiah 25:1-28:13; Galatians 3:10-22; Psalm 61:1-8; Proverbs 23:17-18

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

The word peace in the Hebrew Lexicon is rich and full of depth. It is the word Shalom which not only means peace, but completeness, safety, soundness, welfare, health, prosperity, quietness, tranquility, and contentment. What a promise from our God. He has promised to keep us, or guard and protect us in perfect shalom; however, we have a responsibility in obtaining this promise. We must keep our minds stayed on Him because we trust Him.

As we look at the Hebrew meaning of the word stayed, it is quite explicit. It means is to lay upon, rest upon, lean against, to sustain, and to uphold.

How does this apply to each of us in our daily lives, especially in this day that is before us? The answer is relationship with Christ Jesus. When we trust and rest in His sovereignty submitting our minds to His Lordship, His Shalom is the resulting fruit that guards us in every area of our life.

Trust comes from having intimate relationship. Jesus is calling His Bride into communion and fellowship with His presence. The closer we move to Jesus, the louder His heartbeat becomes. His Shalom begins to penetrate every part of our being because our eyes become increasingly fixed on Him rather than on the circumstances in the natural realm.

The prayer today is for each of you reading this devotional:  Father God, I pray for each reader. Let the eyes of their understanding to be enlightened to the truth of Your Shalom. Holy Spirit, I ask You to bring each person revelation to keep their minds stayed and fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith. I lift each of these treasured jewels before your throne asking You to shower them with Your safety, soundness, health, and contentment. I pray for each to experience Your shalom in this beautiful day that You have made!  In Your Name I pray, Amen!
