Hebrews 3:15
"Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."
I am speaking to you all of the time, are you listening? I am speaking to you when you wake up in the morning and as you fall asleep at night. Even during the night hours, My voice is present in your dreams. Are you listening?
I speak in many different ways always trying to convey My heart to you. That slightest scent of fragrance that quickly came and was Me telling you, "People may disappoint and leave, but I will never leave nor forsake you." The gentle breeze that kissed your cheek...that was Me telling you, "I love you." The baby you saw, whose giggles brought joy to your heart...that was Me saying, "My joy is your strength." Remember waking up to the song of that little bird perched outside your window? He kept singing and singing when all you wanted to do was sleep in.... yes, that was Me singing, "Wake up from your sleep and walk out My plans and purposes today."
All day long, My voice surrounds you calling for your attention. Will you stop to listen?
Please do not turn away in fear of what I might say to you. I am a good and loving Heavenly Father, I have your best interests on My heart.
My child, do not harden your heart turning a deaf ear to Me because you don't like what I have spoken. Embrace My voice of instruction and then you will prosper.
Flesh hates My voice and will fight to keep you from hearing Me. It wants what it wants and will continue to keep you in a state of deafness until it is crucified.
The quicker you nail your flesh to the cross, the sooner you will hear My voice.
Father, I desire a closer relationship with You. Forgive me for doing all of the talking and not much listening. Relationship is about honoring and listening to others, and I have lacked in this area in my relationship with You. Sometimes I get in such a hurry to tell You all my stuff that I forget to stop and listen to Your response. I have missed out hearing You speak through the song of the bird, the kiss of the breeze, and the laughter of babies because I have given my ears to other things. Today, that stops. I give You my full attention. My ears belong to You. I will not run away from Your voice, but will embrace and treasure it. Amen!
