Daily Devotional - August 2nd

Daily Read - 2 Chronicles 32:1-33:13; Romans 15:23-16:9; Psalm 25:16-22; Proverbs 20:16-18
With economic systems shaking and dismantling worldwide, the enemy prowls to and fro seeking whom he may entice into temptation leading to sin. One of his choice areas of temptation comes from the fear of lack. If you listen to the voice of a stranger during these times, you will surely fall into the plans of the enemy. However, if you draw closer to Me and hold fast to My words, I will guide you through even the most difficult of times.
Anything achieved or obtained by ill-gotten gain is destined for ruin. I cannot bless that which comes through deceit. Without My blessing, that which is gotten will turn rotten and produce absolutely nothing. There may be a season when it appears to bring pleasure and gain, but shortly, the pleasure turns into a bitter fruit that brings hardship and regret.
Regardless what happens in the world system, keep a close watch on Me. I will never forsake you in the middle of your need but will bring you into victory. The enemy uses times of crises to his advantage pressuring people to buy into his schemes and devices, only to lead them down a never-ending road filled with mirages of empty promises.
Keep alert and watchful during this hour. The adversary will use many enticements to get you off track. Well-meaning people presenting once in a lifetime opportunities in the area of new businesses; over the top returns on foreign investments; or even new capital ventures all using the guise of Christianity to sell their goods. Watch, pray, and do nothing without receiving clearance from Me. I know and see things you do not. I will keep you safe, but you must seek Me first!
You are not of this world, but of My Kingdom come! The rules are much different in My realm. In fact, My ways turn the world system on its head. They make absolutely no sense to the intellectual logical thinker.
My provision comes in My glory. Come into My presence, and you will find everything you need to live in this world. There is coming such a deluge of My presence that My people will lose sight of their earthly needs desiring only My glory. The rain of My presence will bring everything you need in the downpour. Money, food, healing, deliverance, and strategies will flow from My throne.
In this season, resist the temptation to move into fear, but rather, move into My presence. Even as the world shifts and shakes, your family will be safe in the embrace of My glory. You are Mine and as you walk in the integrity of My Spirit and follow My ways, you will receive the fruit of your labor.
Lord Jesus, I ask for the protection of discernment in my life. Holy Spirit make it blatantly clear when the enemy comes to entice me to do things that seem acceptable at first glance, but carry hidden evil and sin. I want My life to be a pleasing aroma to Your nostrils oh God; I do not want to participate in that which brings any displeasure to You. Help me recognize temptation when it knocks and remind me to stay under the shadow of Your Almightiness. I choose to resist the enticement of deceitful gain in all areas of my life. Amen!
