Daily Read - 2 Chronicles 19:1-20:37; Romans 10:14-11:12; Psalm 21:1-13; Proverbs 20:4-6

 Romans 10:15
"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!"

Good News! What a breath of fresh air in a world where the atmosphere seems suffocating with tragedy and calamity. Negativity seems to pervade every facet of society even infiltrating the church with its insidious seductions. Precious people walk aimlessly in life just trying to make it through to the next day clueless of why tomorrow even matters.

Hopeless and scared, humanity lives in a world filled with frightening scenarios that feed an already terrified soul without God. A life without purpose produces a lifeless existence and a lifeless existence ultimately produces death. This is the plan of Satan from the time of our conception; to asphyxiate the very ones made in the likeness and image of God with overwhelming negativity and chaos. Why? To bring pain to the Father God by killing those He dearly loves.

However, the shed blood of Christ changes everything. It dispels the poison of pessimism with the gospel of good news! As believers, we not only have the honor, but the privilege to herald glad tidings of good things to a world desperately searching for something good to hold onto.

When we walk and live out of the Spirit, our mouths are filled with the Zoe life of God and as we exhale, that life fills those around us with purpose and destiny. It is like administering spiritual CPR to someone who is in the clutches of death unable to breathe. It brings people back from death into His life!

The words we speak carry with them the power to release and loose bondage, to bring salvation to a lost and dying world. The Lord entrusts us to deliver the best news that anyone could ever receive: Redemption has come through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are forgiven and the debt of sin has been paid. Amen!
