Daily Read - 1 Kings 5:1-6:38; Acts 7:1-29; Psalm 127:1-5; Proverbs 16:28-30
Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.
Commit all your ways to Me and allow Me to rule and reign over the affairs of your life. Cease from doing things originating from the flesh because that produces nothing eternal. In fact, these things only lead to fret, worry, and anxiety because they are done by your hand and not mine.
Surrender is a beautiful gift. Cast your cares and concerns upon Me and I will not only take them, but will give you shalom peace in return. Allow Your Father to remove the heavy burden the enemy has so cunningly yoked around your neck. You are created to walk free and not encumbered by such bondage. You are a free spirit able to soar into spiritual high places with Me, but there are tethers holding you earthbound.
These shackles of worry and fret bombard your dreams with tormenting thoughts leading to sleepless nights. I give restful sleep to My children, but the enemy comes to steal it away. Fear opens the door for him to gain entrance robbing you from your God given inheritance of rest.
Close that door and all others which give the thief access. The quickest way to seal off those entrances is by committing all to Me. Turn everything over into My capable hands and enter into the rest I have waiting for you.
Worry accomplishes absolutely nothing except destruction. I Am your resting place. Allow Me the opportunity to prove I can take care of you. I make provision for your every need and I protect you against the plots of the enemy. I know things you don't know and I see things you can't possibly see.
I want to sing you to sleep while I rock you in My everlasting arms. Everything is fine, I have you, and I will never let you go.
Come unto Me all who are weary and heavy laden....
Lord, I release worry and anxiety to You. I do not know what tomorrow holds, but You do and I rest in the fact that You are my loving heavenly Father and know all things about my future. I cast every burden off that has yoked itself around my neck. I give every one of them to You. I refuse to be unequally yoked with anything from the enemy. You created me to be free and the one the Son sets free is free in deed. I walk in the freedom You provide and I cut off all tethers that have hindered my walk. I receive Your gift of rest and sleep You so beautifully provide and I expect to receive heaven sent dreams filled with revelation of my future. I come and abandon all to You, my awesome Father! Amen.
I will give you rest!
