Daily Read - 2 Samuel 15:23-16:23; John 18:25-19:22; Psalm 119:113-128; Proverbs 16:10-11
You are My Father and I belong totally and completely to You. Because I am Your child, I am heir of everything in Your Kingdom. The thought and wonder of what this means is too much for me to grasp. I am no longer a slave, but a son and if I am a son, I am Your heir through Christ!
What does this exactly mean Lord? What does it look like to be Your child having access to everything in Your Kingdom? I need understanding and revelation to comprehend it. I am a child of God and have access to Your heart through the blood of Jesus. What an amazing picture of love. Love beyond anything I have ever experienced.
I'm invited into Your presence where I'm welcomed with loving arms. I'm never turned away, but openly accepted as Yours created in Your image and likeness.
Throughout history, Your righteous and mighty acts have proven to all generations that You are the One True Living God! Your testimonies strengthen the church encouraging us to press on through trials and hardships because there is a promise land waiting for us on the other side.
Man sets out to disprove Your very existence and the accuracy of Your mighty acts. However, through technological advancement in the sciences, he finds himself in quite the dilemma - having to face the facts that Your Word is true and You are very much alive. Science proves him wrong.
Lord God, I want to know You more. Lead and guide me as I journey to understand who You are in deeper ways. I want to know Your testimonies in a more intimate and personal way. I come into Your council chambers where the mysteries of Your heart are revealed. I want to hear from You and only from You, my God, my Lord and my friend. Amen!
