Psalms 104:30
You send forth Your Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the earth.
From the beginnings of the earth, Holy Spirit played an integral part in creation. Genesis 1:2 says He hovered over the face of the waters during creation. In the gospels of Matthew and Luke, it is recorded Holy Spirit came upon Mary and she conceived Christ.
Everywhere He goes, Holy Spirit pours out life and fruitfulness. From the tiniest sea creatures living in the depths of the ocean to the ancient and majestic redwoods, Holy Spirit is involved in the propagation of all living things.
He moves over and covers the face of the earth bringing life, renewal, and resurrection. Death and darkness flee in His presence because death and life cannot cohabit. When Holy Spirit comes, death succumbs and is swallowed up by life because life always wins.
Do you need a spiritual renewal? Surrender to the precious Holy Spirit and ask Him to fill you afresh with His presence. Are there areas in your life where you feel lifeless? Ask Him to breathe life into the barrenness. Are there areas in your body needing healing or even a re-creative miracle? Go to the one who watches and hovers over creation and breathed Christ into Mary's womb. Embrace the precious Holy Spirit and receive His gifts. Jesus gave Him to you as a bridal gift.
Inhale His breath of life and experience spiritual renewal. The old cracked ground gives way to lush new growth and your entire life will bloom and transition into a new season. Life always follows the Holy Spirit. If you want to know if an individual or church embraces Holy Spirit, look for the fruit and spontaneity, the power, and miracles. It is not difficult to recognize the workings of the Spirit of God.
Renewal is the Holy Spirit's specialty and He loves infusing those who are dry and thirsty with His baptism of life giving fire. If you desire a life filled with fruit, joy, and power then ask Jesus to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. You will never be the same and your Christian walk will take a giant leap upward!
Dear Jesus, I want everything You desire to give me. You have a special bridal gift for me that I have yet to receive. I have procrastinated long enough and now I am ready to embrace the power of Holy Spirit. I ask You to baptize me with the Holy Spirit and fire. As Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 14:1 - "Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts," I desire all the spiritual gifts, I desire the power to overcome sin, and I desire to be a bold witness for You. I raise my arms to You in surrender and I receive the fire and power of the Holy Spirit. In Your awesome Name I pray. Amen!
