Psalm 18:28-34
For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will
 enlighten my darkness.
 For by You I can run against a troop,
By my God I can leap over a wall.
 As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
 For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?
 It is God who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
 He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places.
 He teaches my hands to make war,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

What an awesome God You are! Your light explodes into every area of darkness in my life. Hidden places within my soul cannot help but surrender to Your goodness and grace. Your light shatters the darkness that has shattered my soul. How marvelous is Your love towards me. You are my healer!

With You by my side, I can run through every strategy and assignment the enemy devises without a mark. Nothing takes You by surprise because You are omniscient knowing all things. You see ahead and provide everything because You live in my future.  Every wall, obstacle, and entrapment set against me is seen by Your omnipotence enabling me to leap over every one of them unscathed! You are my faithful provider!

Because I choose to put my trust in You and not in the arms of flesh, You surround me with a shield and every fiery dart of judgment and cursing falls to the ground quenched and powerless. No weapon formed against me prospers and every word judgment is condemned in Your presence! I do not fear for You are with me. Through every storm and battle, I confidently stand, for You are my immoveable and unshakeable rock. Your strength empowers me arming me for war; in fact, you teach my hands to war. You are my valiant protector.

You seat me in the high places, the heavenly places with Christ Jesus where the enemy whimpers under my feet. The view from this perspective is quite extraordinary. The things of earth grow dim, but those things of the Spirit come into dramatic clarity. As I choose to live from this place giving no place to my flesh, my way is made perfect in Your sight. As the deer, I spring into the high places far above circumstances all because of Your shed blood. The precious blood of Jesus, My eternal treasured gift.

 You are my glorious Savior!
