Jan 4, 2025 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Daily Read “ Genesis 8:1-10:32; Matthew 4:12-25; Psalm 4:1-8; Proverbs 1:20-23

Matthew 4:18-20
And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers,
Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them,
"Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

Are you ready and willing to leave all to follow Me?  When I called Peter and Andrew, they didn't hesitate for even a moment.  Immediately, they left their vocation, livelihood, and life to follow someone they really didn't even know.

Are you willing to obey whatever I ask of you even when that means doing something so outrageous and goes beyond the confines of logic and reason? Noah obeyed Me when I told him to build an ark in the middle of the desert. His mind could not comprehend the purpose or need for an ark especially when there had never been rain upon the earth. However, he chose to defy his own understanding and trust Me even in the midst of daily mockery and persecution. As a result, I rescued his family so you could be born.

I would never call you to do something I have not already equipped to do. I am a God of order and peace. The key question is, "Do you fully trust Me to direct your life?"

Many of My children are deaf to My voice because they're afraid of what I may say or ask them to do. They plug their spiritual ears with fear. As you walk into this new year, it is vital for you to hear My voice and receive the strategies to maneuver through your day to day life.  I need your undivided attention because a double-minded man is unstable in all ways.

You must guard your ear gate, especially in this next year.  Evil screams for your attention and uses many strategies to lure you away from My voice. The enemy wants to become the loudest and most pronounced sound you hear because he spews out lies and deception about your identity. He always sends messages that totally contradict the truth of who I created you to be as My chosen one.  This brings confusion which ultimately results in your shipwreck.

Peter, Andrew, and Noah are men who trusted Me and quickly responded in obedience when I called.  Not only were they history makers, but I created you to be one as well!

My question to you -
Will you follow Me?

I say, "Yes Lord, I will follow You!" I don't know what that exactly looks like, but I fully trust You to lead and guide me from my present into my future. I have a passionate desire to not only hear Your voice, but to possess the boldness and courage to obey what You say. I choose to put down reputation, status, and people pleasing to obey You in all situations. I want to know Your voice so intimately that I immediately respond when You call!  I believe your declaration over me. I am a history maker and will leave Your mark wherever you lead me to go!
