Daily Read “ Isaiah 60:1-62:5; Philippians 1:27-2:18; Psalm 72:1-20; Proverbs 24:11-12

Philippians 2:3-4
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit,
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Jesus gave it all and laid down everything for you. As stated in Philippians 2:5-8:  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

My Son is the personification of selflessness.  This is daily displayed as He pours blessings over you. His DNA flows through every fiber of your being; you have the mind of Christ, and His divine nature. You are fully empowered and equipped to walk a life of humility and selflessness.

Self-centeredness blinds you to the needs of others because it demands all of the focus and attention. It is time to tell those hidden places within your soul that demand their own way to submit and subject themselves to My Lordship. Bind all spirits of selfishness, self-centeredness, self-protection, self-righteousness, self-absorption, self-exultation, and pride and command them to the abyss. You have power, authority, and dominion over all these things, so rise up and wield your spiritual sword, slashing through those things that keep you in bondage.

Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death. The time has come for you to die in the area of self and command it off the throne of your heart.

There is room for only One King on that Throne!

Precious Holy Spirit, I give You permission to bring me into accountability each time I am tempted to shift into self-mode. I want to abhor the sin of selfishness. I ask You to make it so clear to me when I do not prefer others before myself. I surrender all my senses asking You to sensitize them to the Spirit. I desire to see, hear, feel, taste, and even smell the needs and cries of others.  Jesus, I desire to follow Your example of humility and service. In Your Name, AMEN!
