2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
If you woke up this morning thinking you don't have a purpose or ministry, think again!
These verses make it very clear that every person who accepts Jesus Christ not only becomes a new creation, but also receives a full time ministry of reconciling people to Father God.
We have the awesome privilege of introducing a hurting and desperate world to the kindest most loving person in the universe. All we have to do is open our mouths and watch the Holy Spirit fill them with just the right words to draw people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The Word of God calls us ambassadors for Christ. What does that mean? Ambassadors not only speak on behalf of the country they represent, but they have the full support and weight of that country backing them up. That means they have access to a multitude of things including, but not limited too military intervention if needed; financial provision; personal protection; and unlimited access to their superiors.
As believers, we represent the Kingdom of God. We live, move, and have our being in God and mirror that to those we meet. Heaven backs us up providing us with everything we need to accomplish our mission of reconciliation. We have angels of war fighting on our behalf; unlimited provision for our needs; guardian angels providing personal protection, and access to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Wow, we not only have a purpose, but we have everything we need to fulfill it with Holy Spirit gusto! Knowing we have a mission in life makes getting out of bed in the morning something to look forward too rather than something to dread.
Your day is an exciting adventure ready to happen, one filled with divine encounters and supernatural opportunities!
Go get them...the harvest is waiting!
