Daily Read – Nehemiah 3:15-5:13; 1 Corinthians 7:25-40; Psalm 32:1-11; Proverbs 21:5-7
Psalm 32:8-9
 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.
You are the apple of My eye and I never lose sight of You. If only you would receive My daily guidance that I so willingly give, your path would be much less laborious and cumbersome. If you would heed My instruction, you could avoid many obstacles along your path. Remember, I am the only one who knows your future and I see every pitfall the enemy orchestrates before you.
Don't make this harder than it ought to be by resisting My help, especially in the current season you live. This is no time to allow pride and self-reliance to dictate your steps; they will lead you down as many dead end roads as they can and as you allow. The hour is changing and you cannot afford these kinds of delays. I have an amazing future for you and the quicker you surrender the lead to Me, the quicker you will get there!
Do you know how I long to talk with you, to have simple conversation as a Father and child? I have many things to tell you, but it seems we rarely speak. I hear all your reasons of why you can't spend time with Me, but none of them measure up to the reasons of why you should.
Your Father, the creator of all you see wants to speak to His child and show you the way in which you should walk. I want to show you the path to take in every area of your life. Who would turn down an offer like that? The only thing I ask is for you to make the time to come into My presence and listen to what I have to say.
As much as I love you, there are times when you can be as stubborn as a mule and this keeps you from coming to receive your Father's counsel. Take your authority over that hardheaded spirit and repent; come running into My council chambers, we have a lot to catch up on.
Precious Heavenly Father, forgive me for allowing so many things to rob me from our times together. I do treasure Your counsel; it is the very air I breathe, it gives me life!  From this moment on, I make the conscience decision to seek Your instruction first before going to anyone or anything else. Our time together is my priority and I refuse to allow the ploys of the enemy to keep me away. You have an exciting future waiting for me and I do not want anything hindering me from getting there. You are leading me into tomorrow and I am following!  Amen.
