Daily Devotional - August 12th

Daily Read “ Nehemiah 3:15-5:13; 1 Corinthians 7:25-40; Psalm 32:1-11; Proverbs 21:5-7
You are the apple of My eye and I never lose sight of beloved. If you would seek Me and walk in My daily guidance, your path would be much less laborious and cumbersome. By adhering to My instruction, you will avoid many obstacles along your path. Remember, I am the only one who knows your future and I see every pitfall the enemy orchestrates before you.
When you resist My help, things become harder than they ought to be especially in this current season. Don't allow pride and self-reliance to dictate your steps. If allowed, they will lead you down many dead-end roads. Things are rapidly shifting and you cannot afford these kinds of delays. You have an amazing future and the quicker you surrender the lead to Me, the quicker you will get there!
Do you know much I long to talk with you, to have simple conversation as a Father and child? I have many things to tell you, but it seems we rarely speak. I hear all your reasons why you can't spend time with Me, but none of them measure up to the reasons why you should.
Your Father, the creator desires to speak to His child and show you the way in which you should walk. I want to show you the path to take in every area of your life. Who would turn down an offer like that? The only thing I ask for is time in My presence where you can listen to My plans for your life.
As much as I love you, there are times when you can be as stubborn as a mule and this keeps you from receiving your Father's counsel. Take your authority over that hardheaded spirit and repent; come running into My council chambers, we have a lot to catch up on.
Precious Heavenly Father, forgive me for allowing so many things to rob me from our times together. I do treasure Your counsel; it is the very air I breathe, and it gives me life! From this moment on, I make the conscience decision to seek Your instruction first before going to anyone or anything else. Our time together is my priority and I refuse to allow the ploys of the enemy to keep me away. You have an exciting future waiting for me, and I want nothing to stop me from entering it. Lead me into tomorrow and I will follow. Amen.
