Daily Devotional - June 26th

Daily Read - 2 Kings 9:14-10:31; Acts 17:1-34; Psalm 144:1-15; Proverbs 17:27-28
Quiet your soul and wait on Me before giving voice to words. Words are powerful weapons in the hands of heaven and hell. Both My angels and Satan's demons wait to see what words proceed from your mouth. From the abundance of the heart, your mouth speaks. It is from the motivation and intent of the heart that gives good or evil legal claims to take your words and use them. Not one word escapes their notice; each one is a prized possession in their hands.
When submitted to Me, your mouth carries tremendous weight in the spirit realm. As you quietly wait upon My spirit to flow through and out of your mouth, angels quickly gather those utterances taking them to accomplish that for which they are sent. Words brought through song and prayer shoot through second heaven wickedness creating irreparable destruction on the way to My throne. Declarations made from the heart of My Spirit tear apart principalities and territorial spirits that have plagued geographical locations for generations. Supernatural power flows from words inspired by Holy Spirit.
Likewise, words birthed from offense, anger, frustration, or any other work of the flesh bring nothing but destruction. Even prayers originating from a disgruntled heart where the motivation is that of control contains the fuel the enemy is looking for to start a fire. Demons assigned to watch over your mouth quickly snatch these venomous utterances and distribute them to networks of evil whose job it is to bring as much havoc and misery into your life as possible. Fires of destruction ignite and spread causing damage to relationships, finances, health, and even your walk with Me.
My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Hear the truth My people and turn your mouth over to Me, submit it to My Lordship and stop the wildfire in its tracks. Repent for giving the enemy legal access to your words and allow the cleansing blood of Christ to wash over you dowsing out all flames of the flesh.
Bring your mind, will, and emotions into a place of calm and seek My counsel before speaking.
Lord Jesus, here is my mouth; I submit it totally and completely to You. I repent for every word I have given voice to that has sparked destructive fires. I ask for the cleansing flood of Your blood to douse the flames. Help me to discipline myself to pray before I speak. I want to be an instrument of Your life. I want to bring Your glory wherever I go and to everyone I meet. Let my words be acceptable in Your sight oh Lord, My redeemer. Thank You for redeeming every word uttered from the flesh. Turn them into life and light! Amen.
